Advanced data driven weather intelligence

My name is Jason Furtado, and I am a climate scientist who has spent two decades studying why the atmosphere behaves the way it does weeks ahead, and how to turn that into actionable forecasts for people and industry. I am currently a Professor of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma and a American Meteorological Society (AMS) Certified Consulting Meteorologist. Previously, I spent four years as a staff scientist in the private sector at Atmospheric and Environmental Research (2011 to 2015). My work on subseasonal prediction of extreme weather (cold, heat and droughts) and Pacific climate has been published in leading journals and covered several news outlets by NPR, the Associated Press and the New York Times.
