About Jason
Jason C. Furtado, Ph.D. is currently Professor of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma (OU), and is the founder of JF Weather & Climate Analytics, LLC. A large-scale climate dynamicist by training, his expertise spans the weather–climate interface, with particular expertise in subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) forecasting, extreme weather prediction, decadal climate variability, and climate change. His research is anchored in transforming fundamental atmospheric science with statistical analyses of environmental data and model output and with creating data-driven models to solve relevant, pressing challenges in industry and society.
